Vivid is the stunning, collaborative trio CD from one of Australia's most admired jazz pianists, Barney McAll, tabla player and percussionist, Badal Roy and cellist, Rufus Cappadocia.

Afrobeat, Sufi music, Indian Ragas and traditional African music all play a role in this mesmerizing brew that is both soothing and stimulating.

New York residents, McAll, Roy and Cappadocia all enjoy successful careers. McAll plays with the likes of Gary Bartz, Kurt Rosenwinkel and Dewey Redman. Roy was the tabla player on such seminal recordings as Miles Davis' On The Corner and various Ornette Coleman Prime Time Recordings. Cappadocia, who plays a five-string cello of his own design, has performed with Odetta, Aretha Franklin and the Black Rock Coalition.

This unique ensemble has been performing in the USA and in Europe since 2002 to develop the rich, global sound of Vivid.

Vivid also features African and Indian vocalists and world-class special guests Fred Wesley (James Brown) and Jo Jo Kua (Fela Kuti).
